EORI Checker

Before you submit your application for a new EORI number, you must check that your company is not already registered.

If your company is registered for VAT, it may have already been issued an EORI number automatically. EORI numbers are permanently associated with the company they’re issued to. So you will not get another EORI number if you forget yours.

If you do not have an EORI number then you cannot import or export goods from the EU. EORI numbers are used for customs declarations of all goods entering or exiting the EU.

If you need to update your companies details, such as the registered name, address or VAT number or want to stop using your EORI number, you must contact the EORI team.

Without an EORI number you cannot grow your business abroad or work with suppliers based overseas.
